Feedback

Overall, we received useful and constructive feedback from the group, after viewing our rough cut. Areas that we knew we had to improve were noted by others and also aspects that we didn't notice needed changing but, now are aware of those areas. The things we needed to improve/ other suggestions were...
  • Some sound needed to be pick up on, such as wind picked of by camera
  • It was to long, to many shots of car being driven
  • One shot of 'Frank' pouring drink when on for far to long, and became boring
  • They didn't know what was going on and was lost with the plot
Areas that were liked by others.
  • Was moody, as an effect of lighting
  • Was understood that character was involved in organised crime
  • Car sequence, character getting into car was sharply edited
  • Interesting use of effects
  • Liked production logo
These comments came in very useful and helped to develop our opening. We are planning to change the length of some shots, we agree some are too long, and some are unnecessary. We also will adjust the sound changing the volume at parts and silencing the wind. However some of the feedback wasn't as useful. Many openings of films open with a sequence that is slightly confusing or unclear, leading the audience into the narrative. We don't feel we need to make i any more clearer in terms of what is happening.
